Â鶹¹ÙÍø Fathers Club

Welcome to the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Fathers Club!

It is my great honor to welcome you to the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Fathers Club (GFC)! The GFC is dedicated to fostering fellowship among fathers and male guardians of Â鶹¹ÙÍø students while supporting the school’s mission of forming Men for and with Others through service and community. Just as our sons become part of the Eye Street community for life, so too do Â鶹¹ÙÍø families—building friendships, giving back, and strengthening the bonds that make Â鶹¹ÙÍø so special.

The GFC offers many opportunities to connect, get involved, and support both Â鶹¹ÙÍø and our sons’ journeys. Whether it’s selling tickets at football or basketball games, participating in the 6th Annual Â鶹¹ÙÍø National Day of Service, attending the 78th Annual Father-Son Mass and Breakfast, helping at the 36th DC Classic basketball tournament, or lending a hand at other service projects, your involvement makes a real difference.

We also host monthly “Men for Others” gatherings—times to socialize, share experiences, and hear valuable insights from Â鶹¹ÙÍø teachers, coaches, administrators, and special guests. A full calendar of events will be posted on this website, and we’ll send regular reminders so you don’t miss any opportunities to participate.

We are always in need of father/guardian volunteers. If you are interested in joining our corps of ready-for-action GFC volunteers, please . We will add your email address to a roster so that you can receive faster and more convenient communications and updates about upcoming volunteer opportunities, including important information about parking and logistics.

  • Grandparents Day Mass & Brunch

    The Fathers Club proudly supports this important annual event to celebrate Grandparents and all they mean to the Men of Eye Street. Father volunteers direct attendees to mass and the brunch. Event Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026

  • New Families Welcome Picnic

    The Fathers Club joins the Mothers Club serving our incoming freshman and transfer families on Eye Street following a welcome presentation in the Sheehy Theater. The picnic is a stellar way to meet incoming families and introduce the Fathers Club to new dads and guardians. Event Date: Wednesday, August 19, 2026


  • Football Ticket Sales

    The Fathers Club sells tickets at all home football games. This is a great way to meet fellow dads and guardians and enjoy Â鶹¹ÙÍø football. Go Eagles!

  • Open House

    This event is a critical opportunity for prospective students and their families to learn more about Â鶹¹ÙÍø and tour campus. Â鶹¹ÙÍø dads guide prospective families from the parking lots to the Carmody Center and remain available throughout the school to answer questions. Event Date: Sunday, November 22, 2026

  • DC Classic

    The annual Â鶹¹ÙÍø DC Classic brings top high school teams from across the country to Eye Street. The DC Classic is the Fathers Club primary annual fundraiser and directly supports Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s summer service projects. Be part of great basketball supporting good works! Event Dates: Friday, December 11 – Sunday, December 13, 2026


  • Freshman Retreat

    A formative experience for Â鶹¹ÙÍø freshmen, this weekend retreat occurs each year in January. The Fathers Club provides water and soda for the Friday evening session and serves as overnight chaperones during the sleepover at school on Saturday night. Event Dates: January 15-17, 2027

  • Mother-Son Mass and Celebration

    Dads set tables and chairs in the Carmody Center the day before this cherished annual event. On the day of the Celebration, we come together for Mass in the chapel and prepare breakfast, set tables, and serve breakfast to mothers and sons. Event Date: Sunday, March 14, 2027

  • Father-Son Service Project

    The foundation of a Â鶹¹ÙÍø education is learning the importance of being Men for Others. The Fathers Club will plan service opportunities throughout the academic year both on Eye Street and in the Washington DC area. Fathers and guardians can be role models as Men for Others and enjoy serving with and for others. Event Dates: To be determined

  • 78th Annual Father-Son Mass & Breakfast

    The Father-Son Communion Breakfast begins with a morning mass at St. Al’s and is followed by brunch at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. A longstanding tradition, this year marks the 78th Father-Son Communion Breakfast. Volunteers serve as ushers in the church and guide attendees to the hotel ballroom. Event Date: April 21, 2027

  • Commencement

    The Fathers Club serves as ushers and provides logistical support throughout the day. Event Dates: Baccalaureate Mass and reception: Saturday, June 5, 2027; Commencement: Sunday, June 6, 2027
